Name: Sarah BryanAge: 29From: Heswall, originallyFundraising for: Wirral Hospice St John’s (Registered Charity No. 510643)
IN MAY, I will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing three of Britain’s peaks in 24 hours.
We start at 6am on Saturday, May 3 and finish by 6am on Sunday, May 4.
I will be aiming to raise at least £500 for St John’s Hospice.
I feel very connected with the hospice, as seven years ago my father, Philip Bryan, died of cancer there.
He spent his last moments at Wirral Hospice St John’s, and was really well looked after.
We, as a family, really feel that the hospice is a great place and is so important for many people – sufferers and their families alike. It was the only place my father was at peace towards the end.
I have previously raised money for the charity.
In 2008, I ran the Race for Life and raised over £500. Last year my little brother, Sam Bryan, cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End, raising over £1,000 for St John’s Hospice.
My mum Chris volunteers and works in the shop in Heswall every Friday morning – so we are all getting involved!
