HAVE a slam dunk of a time with Wirral’s favourite wrestler defending his championship title.
All Star Wrestling returns to New Brighton this Sunday as heads clash for the Superslam Championship bout.
Wirral favourite Dean Allmark will be defending his crown against Potteries powerhouse Robbie Dynamite.
The Superslam belt is open to wrestlers from all weight divisions, which means Dean, standing 5ft 10in and weighing around 13 stone, regularly finds himself giving away weight.
Although this time, there will be little difference at the scales before battle commences with Dynamite.
“Extreme” Dean previously enjoyed team success as one half of a title won “Dream Team” combination with fellow Stoke campaigner Kid Cool. He also has international experience including bouts on the Continent and in the United States for Total Non Stop Action (TNA), and achieved a career highlight during Oct, 2010, when first wining the Superslam title.
Dean is also head trainer for the All Star Wrestling School at Bebington Civic Centre, which has produced a string of graduates to the professional ranks – two of whom, Liverpool livewire Ringo Ryan and Welsh heavyweight Caden Lay, will also be competing on the night.
International heavyweight James Mason from South London will also be facing the American Avalanche PN News who originates from Nebraska.
See the slam dunk from 7.30pm this Saturday at the Floral Pavilion. Tickets are from £13, with a special £45 family offer of two adults and two children under 16 on 0151 666 0000.
