I AM really looking forward to supporting a fashion show which is being held for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity on Wednesday, March 12, writes Louise Beach, pictured.
The exclusive Heswall boutique, Sue Huntington, will be showing their spring and summer collection of evening and occasional wear at the beautiful Thornton Manor.
The fashion show is taking place in memory of Jane Ewbank, who sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2012.
Jane was an avid follower of fashion, and was known for her sense of style as much as her sense of fun. She was often found browsing the rails at Sue Huntington, swapping stories with the staff and generally enjoying herself.
Her husband Stephen and daughters Charlotte, Emma and Helen were keen to honour her memory by raising some much needed funds for our charity, and what better way to do this than to celebrate her love of style and glamour and hold a fashion show.
Boutique owner Sue Huntington and her team hold fond memories of Jane and immediately jumped at the chance of getting involved in the project. The family were delighted to discover the staff at the boutique even have a photograph of Jane posted up in their staff room!
Many friends have since rallied around to help organise the event, giving their time and energy, sourcing raffle prizes and planning what promises to be a fantastic evening.
If you would like to attend the fashion show and help raise money for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity you can purchase tickets at a cost of £10 each from the Sue Huntington boutique, calling 0151 342 6434, or from the charity office at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
You don’t have to put on an event to support the 28,000 patients we see each year, you can still get involved by making a regular donation, nominating us as your company’s charity of the year, leaving a gift in your Will, volunteering to help with our fundraising events, or if your new year’s resolution was to get fit, why not take part in one of the many organised runs in the region and raise money at the same time?
