THERE’S no need to hibernate indoors – just get your glad rags on and disco down to your local watering hole.
Wirral’s nightlife has enough partying going on in every quarter of the peninsula to keep winter wrapped up.
Warming up the disco ball is the Rock Lobster in West Kirby with plenty of entertainment to get you moving.
From jam night every Monday with Sam Wise, and DJ’s turning the decks every Friday and Saturday with a mix of funk, disco, indie, soul and rock.
The Grange Road venue has all big games on the large screens, plus an extensive range of quality German bottled beers and jager shots for £1.50.
Over at the Soft Rock Cafe in Liscard there’s jam night on Wednesday nights with instruments supplied.
This Friday sees the return of live music with Rigsbys Cat then Trunk on Saturday.
Gary Murphy is back with his usual Sunday session from 6pm to 8pm.
Sports enthusiasts can see their favourite games on the big screens.
Rock on by to the Swinging Arm pub in Birkenhead which has something going on nearly every day of the week.
If you fancy having a go then get down on a Tuesday night and get jammin’ to the crowds.
Then it’s bingo time with a rock ‘n’ roll theme on Wednesday nights, plus free pool can be played.
This Friday night has live music from AC/DC tribute act High Voltage, followed by Yue Who on Saturday. Both nights has a 12.30am bar.
Followed by 10ft performing on Sunday between 4pm and 6pm, and a quiz at 8.30pm.
Please note that from next Sunday, February 2 the quiz night will be moved to Monday nights.
Kick off at 8pm with the Merseyside derby – Liverpool v Everton – shown on the big screen on Tuesday, January 28. Budweiser £2 a pint until the first goal.
10ft returns to the borough for another gig at the Revolver in Birkenhead on Thursday night, plus jam night. Stella on tap for £2 a pint.
The venue on new Chest Road is now open every day from 4pm.
Fireball Friday stokes the flames for the weekend with an eclectic mix of tunes – live music from Skydog, plus DJ Mogsey looking after rock tunes in the beer garden pavilion, and DJ Gav at the turntable with rock and metal inside. Admission is £3.50 through January.
Every Saturday has Monster Mayhem offering lots of drinks offers to whet your appetite – £2.50 pints, £2 bottles and £1 shots.
