WIRRAL West MP Esther McVey was in Heswall on Friday to visit a new business opened by two local entrepreneurs.
The property at 206 Pensby Road, Heswall, had stood empty for nearly two years until Christian Coventry, of Concept Mortgages, and Joanne Stanhope of Stanhope Accountancy and Advisory, decided it would be the ideal venue to house their respective businesses.
Christian, an independent mortgage adviser, was joined by Mark Williamson two years ago.
He has also recently recruited Jayne Grace to manage the administration side of the business.
Christian said: “The recent investment in the area from Sainsbury’s, in addition to the other small retailers, has now led to a 100 per cent occupancy rate in the row of shops at the junction of Irby Road and Pensby Road to create a lot more life in a part of town that had started to stagnate commercially.”
Esther McVey said: “I was delighted to be asked to visit this new high street venture, which clearly demonstrates the value of the government’s help for businesses such as this.
“I wish Christian and Joanne all success for the future.”
