CLAIRE House Children’s Hospice is gearing up for its busiest year yet and wants you to be a part of it.
With a yearly target of £2.7million to raise every year, the charity has an action-packed diary of events and activities for all ages.
The calendar kicks off on January 24 with the Merseyside Derby Preview Lunch with speakers including Kevin Keegan and John Barnes.
The pace picks up for the Liverpool Half Marathon on March 23, followed closely by Claire House’s own Excalibur on May 10, a fell-running event that’s not for the faint hearted.
2014 will also see the return of the Splash Dash, Merseyside’s messiest fun run which last year raised £50,000 to support the care of children and young people with life-limiting medical conditions.
Kirsty Simpson, Events Manager for Claire House Children’s Hospice, said: “Claire House isn’t an organisation that suffers from a lull in January; we’re straight into organising a fun-packed, busy event calendar for the upcoming year.
“Our supporters around the Wirral are also running events in the community, including coffee mornings, balls and fun days. All of the events, whether run by Claire House or one of our supporters, will be on our website so keep checking.”
