A HOMELESS charity in Wirral received a welcome boost to its funds.
Commercial property consultants, Smith and Sons has generously donated £6,000 to Wirral Ark to support their good work.
The cash will be put towards purchasing a new database system which will help the charity to source and apply for additional funding.
Money also paid for a new kit and sports equipment for the hostel’s homeless football team. Anne O’Marah, chief executive of Wirral Ark, said: “Our current database is really old and can often slow us down when managing statistics for fundraising bids and government funding, so the charity needed something that can record and provide hard copies at the touch of a button.
“With the money Smith and Sons have donated, we will be able to manage our information so much quicker and with ease.”
Chris Johnson, from Smith and Sons, added: “We are delighted to support the Wirral Ark – they’re a fantastic local charity that carry out important work and offer vital support to homeless people throughout the year.
“We hope that this donation will have a lasting legacy, enabling Ark to benefit from a state-of-the- art system that will allow them to access additional resources.”
