A NEW chairman has been appointed at Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau.
After six years of chairing the trustee board, Peter Firth has stepped aside to be replaced by the former vice-chair and Wirral local, Philip Howley.
Stepping into the vice-chair’s role will be Patricia Nugent.
The board oversees the strategic direction of Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau, which is one of 360 separate bureaux across the country.
The registered charity doesn’t receive any direct government funding for its work, but instead competes with other agencies to secure contracts to provide advice services across Wirral.
Philip added: “Having secured a number of new contacts, I am confident that the bureau will go from strength to strength in the coming yearss.”
