LAST week I enjoyed a great night helping Chris Britton at his charity night for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity at The Royal Oak, Hungry Horse pub in Bromborough.
Chris, 33, from Tranmere is a patient at the centre, recently diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. Chris said: “I am so proud that we have such a wonderful cancer centre here on Merseyside and want to say thank you to everybody who is helping me to overcome cancer.”
There were lots of great auction and raffle prizes including a bottle of House of Commons whiskey, kindly donated by Frank Field MP.
Chris also had support from the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Dave Mitchell and his wife Sue, pictured, who took part in the quiz. Kieran Fox from Dee 106.3 compered to help raise a whopping £543!
We are immensely grateful to The Royal Oak Hungry Horse pub in Bromborough for putting on the event, everyone who donated prizes and all those who attended to show their support for Chris.
This wonderful family is organising a number of charity events and sporting challenges to raise much-needed funds. If you would like to show your support for Chris then please go to his fundraising page www.justgiving.com/fightforchris.
