A WIRRAL charity is urging locals to come together to cut energy costs.
Wirral-based charity, Energy Projects Plus, has launched a campaign called ‘Switch Together, Save Together’ to make switching energy suppliers easier and worthwhile.
The scheme is a much-needed resource now that energy companies have increased prices, adding over £100 a year to a typical bill.
Experts say now is the time to switch and benefit from the best deals.
Those who have never switched their energy supplier, or haven’t switched in the last 12 months, are likely to benefit the most from switching.
Peter Owen, chief executive at Energy Projects Plus said: “Fuel bills are rising over the next few weeks for many of us, and if you haven’t checked if it is worthwhile for you to switch then do take advantage of the support offered through our scheme.
“If it is worthwhile for you then we will be pleased to help you switch.
“If not, then we are equally happy that you have checked and are comfortable with your current supplier.
“Our aim is to ensure that people do not have to pay more than they need to keep warm.”
This latest campaign builds on the success of a collective switch in June with over 4,600 people taking part.
Each household saved an average of £110 a year on bills.
Residents are offered expert energy advice by advisors along with a clear view of potential savings, and a guide through the switching process.
Anyone can take part, regardless of current supplier or payment methods.
