CLAIRE House will be the beneficiary of an exclusive exhibition later this month from world-renowned photographer Mike McCartney.
The long-standing supporter of the charity has photographed some of this century’s most iconic figures. His work has been displayed at venues including the National Portrait Gallery, London, the Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC and the newly arrived Museum of Liverpool.
This latest showcase will be at The Inkwell Tattoo Parlour and Art Gallery in Oxton Village. The two-week exhibition will kick off with a private viewing on October 24 and will feature never-before-seen works.
Wirral Area Fundraiser Stephanie Clark said: “We’re so grateful to Mike and the Inkwell for creating this completely unique event for Claire House.
“I have previewed the photos and they’re absolutely fantastic. It’s really exciting to think that this will be the very first time that they are shown to the public and, to top it all off, in such a brilliantly quirky venue.”
Claire House relies on fundraising to support its work, with a yearly fundraising target of over £2.7million.
The exhibition will be free to enter from Friday, October 25, and the photographs will be available for sale with all proceeds going to the hospice.
