KINGSMEAD School in Hoylake has announced it is going further this year than ever before to ensure that children from a wide range of backgrounds are able to join the school.
The governors said that this year the school is opening up scholarship places in each year group, from Year Three upwards.
The school is offering them to children who have particular ability in art, music or sport.
The scholarships are for up to 50% of the tuition fees, and the closing date for this year’s applications has been extended by one day to Saturday, November 2, to coincide with the school’s next open morning.
Scholarship Day takes place on Friday, November 8.
Headmaster Mark Gibbons said: “Our recent inspection report underlines what a wonderful education Kingsmead offers its pupils.
“The governors are committed to ensuring that as many children as possible are given the chance to join us.”
Details of the application process are available on the school’s website: www.kingsmead school.com.
