A WIRRAL nurse is full of beans about her latest fundraiser.
Nicola Greer has took up the challenge of getting in to a bath of baked beans for 24 hours to raise money for Arrowe Park Hospital’s neonatal unit.
Funds will also go to a close friend who worked at the hospital and had her left arm amputated after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
Nicola’s fundraiser takes place in the car park of The Primrose Pub in Wallasey from 6pm on Friday (August 24) through to 6pm on Saturday.
Nicola, from Wallasey, said: “I'm sure lots of people can think of better ways to spend the bank holiday weekend than sitting in a bath of cold baked beans.
“But it will be worth it to raise money for the neonatal unit and a close personal friend.”
Nicola has completed a host of fundraising events for the neonatal unit, raising £10,000 so far.
From that total, £4,500 was raised from a group skydive and family fun day.
The money will be used to refurbish an existing parents bedroom, and build an additional room for use by parents and siblings of babies who stay in the neonatal unit.
Donations can be made at the fundraising event or via the neonatal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital.
