A FOUR-DAY music festival will take place in Wirral with a line-up of live acts.
Fort Perch Rock, in New Brighton, is getting ready to showcase a stellar of music performances.
This will be the third festival held at the Rock, and over 20 artists have signed up to play a spectrum of musical genres for all ages and tastes.
The ‘Fort Perch Rocks’ extravaganza begins on Friday, August 23, and will run through to bank holiday Monday, August 26. Performance start times vary and are set out below, but will finish each night at midnight except Monday.
Confirmed artists include:
l Friday, from 7pm: Alpha Male Tea Party, Super Fast Girlie Show, Zebedy, Kusangi, ESK, Asbestos Popcorn.
l Saturday, from 6pm: Soul Groove Dj'ing from Nick Flight, Stu Grundy, Mark Dennerley and Carlton Soul. Live music from Groove Lab.
l Sunday, from noon: Pretty Silhouette, Dirty Pleasure, Black Rose, All The Kings Friends, Broken 3 Ways, Kenny And The Energy.
l Monday, noon-10pm: John O Connell, Warren James, Troy Faid, Sonnenberg, The Bear Beats Band.
The festival will also be supporting two charities – Claire House Children’s Hospice and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Fort Perch Rock was built in the 1820s to defend the River Mersey from a Napoleonic invasion.
