Leigh Watson is a Level Three Administration Apprentice with Stonebridge Stewart Business Advisors and Chartered Accountants, Heswall.
Sam Gelling is doing a Level Three Apprenticeship in Accounting with the same company.
Wirral Met College’s NVQ level two front office/reception students studied key areas of customer service, payment methods, cash control, sales techniques and reservation services before taking part in a five week work placement with local hotels.
As a result of their placements, five students from this course went on to hotel reception jobs straight after their course.
Work experience forms a key part of full-time courses for young people and the front office/reception students worked for five weeks in a variety of organisations such as the Liverpool Hilton, Malmaison, Holiday Inn, Marriot Hotel, IBIS, Thistle Atlantic Tower Liverpool, Riverhill Oxton, Beechwood Housing Association, Inglewood Manor Chester, Crowne Plaza, The Learning Shop, Mettsett Travel Agency, Neston High School and Woodchurch Primary School.
