Claire House launches Compass Group to work in Wirral community

CLAIRE House children’s hospice is launching a project which it is hoping will safeguard its future with the help of volunteers from across Wirral.

The Claire House Compass Group is a pilot project in the area, offering the community the chance to be involved in frontline support for Claire House and the children, young people and families who rely on the hospice’s service.

With such a dedicated and proactive community in Wirral but only a small fundraising team dedicated to nurturing the area, Wirral area fundraisers Kirsty Wright and Steph Clark wanted a more effective way to work within the community to raise awareness of the work of Claire House.

Kirsty said: “Along with our fantastic volunteer George McGrath, we had the brainwave which is the Claire House Compass Group. The group aims to be prominent in the community, working to build our presence and secure our way to a sustainable future.

“Compass will be essential to the development of Claire House, but we will need assistance to get it off the ground. Our corporate partners for example could show their support by offering professional coaching to our volunteers.”

We’re looking for new or existing volunteers as well as local businesses, who can offer their expertise, to become a part of the Claire House Compass Group.

For information please contact Kirsty or Steph on 0151 343 0883 or email kirsty@claire-house.org.uk
