A BESTSELLING novelist dropped in on a Birkenhead book store to sign copies of her latest releases and meet her fans.
Lyn Andrews was in The Grange and Pyramids’ WH Smith store at the weekend to greet fans waiting for a signed copy of Sunlight On The Mersey and The Queen’s Promise.
The romantic and historical novelist, who bases her books in Merseyside and Ireland, said: “I’m a Merseyside girl and always will be so it was wonderful to meet so many dedicated fans of my novels.
“I started writing many years ago after I read a couple of books and rather vainly I thought I could do better so I penned my first novel and the rest, as they say, is history.”
Lyn has reached the coveted number one spot on the Sunday Times bestselling author list and remains firmly in the list of the UK’s top 100 authors.
She said: “I draw my inspiration from the Liverpool area and Merseyside region in general.
“I think the colour and passion of the Merseyside people is unique. It gives me such a wide canvas to base my novels on.”
Eve Gilfoyle, of Wallasey, added: “I have read every single book she has ever written. She’s such an amazing author. It’s lovely to see her here at The Grange and Pyramids in Birkenhead.”
