Bangladeshi family day in Wirral

WIRRAL is marking Bangladesh’s independence day this Saturday.

Birkenhead Central Library is hosting an event to celebrate the 42nd anniversary.

The day will feature face painting, games and crafts, Bangladeshi food tasting and drinks, traditional music and Sylheti storytelling.

Cllr Chris Meaden, cabinet member for culture, tourism and leisure said: “This looks like a really fun day, with lots to do for children and a chance to taste some delicious Bangladeshi cooking.

“It is great to see a Wirral library hosting another educational and fun event.”

The fun starts at 10am to 1pm. Entry is free and open to all.

The event is being organised by Wirral Council in partnership with NHS Wirral.
