A website launched for Wirral parents to access free school uniforms

A WEBSITE has been launched for parents to receive free school uniforms on Wirral.

Following on from the success of the Free Uniforms for Schools (FUSS) project organisers have set up the online page to make items more accessible.

Parents can expect to see shirts, blazers and winter coats in the assortment.

Leading the recycling initiative which is run voluntarily, is grandmother Sheila Fowler who set it up so parents can exchange unwanted school garments.

Parents can log on to www.wirralfuss.co.uk to see the range of uniforms for Wirral schools.

Sheila, from Hoylake, said: “I think it is a brilliant idea because parents can access it when ever they need an item and in an emergency.

“Some schools have linked us on their own websites, it is amazing to have their support.

“It makes ecological and economic sense to recycle, so garments can be then used again and again.”

The next uniform collection day is taking place in the Easter holidays at St Luke’s Methodist Church Hall, Hoylake for parents to collect items. The date has yet to be confirmed.
