TV PERSONALITY and former MP Edwina Currie gave students her recipe for success during a visit to West Kirby Grammar School.
In a visit to the school to mark its forthcoming centenary year, Liverpool-born Mrs Currie shared stories from her 14 years as a Conservative MP and spoke about her pride in becoming a best-selling author.
The reality TV veteran – whose appearances include Strictly Come Dancing, Wife Swap, Hell’s Kitchen, and Come Dine With Me – also critcised the naivety of I’m A Celebrity contestant Nadine Dorries, but predicted she would remain as an MP.
She told an audience of parents and pupils: “Get the best education you can, work and save hard and don’t go into politics – at least until you’ve had 10 years doing something else.”
Mrs Currie’s husband John Jones is a former policeman in Wirral.
She said she wished the school every success during its centenary year.
