Thornton Manor’s helipad plan

CELEBRITIES and VIP guests could soon be able to arrive at one of Wirral’s most exclusive locations by helicopter, after plans were submitted seeking permission to land aircraft.
Thornton Manor, in Thornton Hough, is the former home of William Hesketh Lever, who built Port Sunlight, and is described as one of the “hidden jewels” of Merseyside.
Documents said on occasion there are requests from VIP guests to “arrive by helicopter”.
