Hallowe’en party time for Whipiteres

HALLOWE’EN events are being held to raise money for Wirral Whipiteres Roller Derby Team.

A children’s Hallowe’en party will take place on Wednesday, October 24, at Misty Blues, in Liscard, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

There will be crafts, “Spooky Stalls”, apple bobbing and face painting, as well as a “Haunted Disco”, with prizes to be awarded for the best costume.

Entry will cost £2, but there is free admission for the under-fives.

A zombie-themed fancy dress party for adults will be held in The Clarence Hotel, Wallasey.

“The Zombon” will be a fireworks party, with the Whipiteres serving chilli and stew.

The party, on Friday, November 2, will start at 8pm and admission will be free.

The flat track Roller Derby Team was founded last year and they have already begun competing in national competitions.

The Whipiteres currently have more than 80 members, ranging from 18 to 50 years of age.
