A WIRRAL primary school has become the first in the area to receive a prestigious award for inclusion.
St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Noctorum, has received the Inclusion Quality Mark award (IQM) during a ceremony in London.
The award recognises schools who undertake a rigorous self-assessment process to ensure they offer an inclusive, supportive environment for all children.
Praise was especially reserved for the school’s support of children with special educational needs.
Julie Farrelly, headteacher of St Peters, said: “This is due to the tremendous commitment of the entire school community.”
