Something for everyone at Wirral arts festival

HESWALL Arts Festival begins later this week.

The two week celebration runs from October 13-27 and will showcase the work of over 400 local artists and performers.

The festival has doubled in size since its launch last year and visitors can expect to encounter everything from electric violin recitals to astronomy parties.

Expected highlights include ‘Hairy Day’, which sees local hairdressers Andrew Collinge and Christopher Boyton join forces in presenting the art of hair design and styling. Meanwhile Heswall Photographic Society will be offering illustrated talks and guidance on how to take memorable holiday snaps. Meanwhile, the grand opening concert sees the Orchestra dell’Arte perform classics from the likes of Strauss and Shostakovich at Heswall Hall.

Tickets to the opening night are available from Linghams bookshop on Telegraph Road for £15. For admission and dates to other events see www.heswallfestival.co.uk
