Age UK reopened

AFTER a major re-fit workers at the charity shop Age UK on Dee Road, West Kirby celebrate the opening of their refurbished store.

Regular customer Dorothy Rodgers, of West Kirby, cut the ribbon declaring the shop open. Dorothy said:“I feel like royalty! They have done a lovely job of decorating the shop. It looks absolutely wonderful, really bright and welcoming.”

Area Sales Manager, Sally Hughes said: “I am delighted at how smart the shop now looks. Staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to get everything ready for the re-opening”.

The staff of Age UK are now encouraging local residents to have a clear-out and donate to the charity. Sally urged residents to continue to think of Age UK when making donations despite the competition of other charities in these austere times. She asked that “ people think about the needs of older people and how we, as a charity, can help them.”

Anybody interested in volunteering should call into the shop and speak to a member of staff.
