THE Friends of Greasby Library are holding their first event and AGM of the 2012-2013 season on Monday, September 17.

Dr Keith Lawrence will give a talk on the Turnpikes of Cheshire and Beyond, discussing the gradual growth of turnpike trusts from the early 1700s to their decline in the 1880s.

The meeting is at Greas- by Library at 7.15pm. Tickets (book ahead) £2.50/ £2 for members. Call 606 2665 or greasby library@wirral.gov.uk
