SOCIAL housing group Plus Dane has won a £100m contract to manage housing stock in Ellesmere Port and Neston.
The five-year deal, which is subject to final approval by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s executive, will see some 200 existing council staff transfer to Plus Dane.
Liverpool-based Plus Dane is already responsible for nearly 13,000 homes in Merseyside and Cheshire and is one of the largest developing housing associations in the sector.
Plus Dane will take over the management, repairs and maintenance of more than 5,800 homes on July 1.

The contract win is the latest in a number of deals fro Plus Dane.
Peter Shaw, the group’s managing director for the contract, added: “We are already planning for the start of the contract and to begin implementing our proposals as soon as we can.
“A big part of this is to secure a suitable office base in the area so that the services can continue to be delivered locally.”
