Sickness bug closes Wirral ward to visitors

A WIRRAL hospital has closed one of its wards to visitors after an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea.
Arrowe Park is restricting visiting “temporarily” to ward 21 as a result of the highly infectious Norovirus.
A Wirral University Teaching HospitalTrust spokeswoman said the situation was being reviewed daily.
The ward is still open to patients.
Staff will also be able to use discretion and allow visitors in in exceptional cases.
