MISSING Robbie Crofts’ heartbroken mum and family said his disappearance had left them “so helpless”.
In an appeal for the 21-year-old dad’s return, Robbie’s mum Ellen, 60, said she will never give up on him.
Robbie was last seen on Sunday August 28. The body of his girlfriend Hayley Holmes, 17, washed up on New Brighton beach on Monday August 29.
Care manager Mrs Crofts said: “Robbie, we feel helpless not knowing where to start looking for you, longing to contact you and not being able to.
“We won’t give up on you Robbie, we love and miss you so very much.”
While being consoled by her husband Robert, Mrs Crofts added: “All your friends, a great bunch of lads, love and miss you too.
“They are gathering every day at Fort Perch Rock until your safe return and are praying for you.
“What about little Eva, your precious little daughter? You are so proud of her and your hopes for her future. She is missing you so very much.
“If someone is helping you, they must realise you will get all the help you need when you come home.”
Robbie’s older sisters Lorraine, Chellie and Kimie, and older brother Brian, spoke of their worry he may have drowned with his girlfriend after the sweethearts made a late-night visit to the seafront.
But despite his belongings being found on a slipway to the water’s edge, the family have refused to abandon hope Robbie is alive and well.
Robbie is of stocky build and around 5ft 8ins, with blue eyes and short black hair. Anyone with information should call Birkenhead CID on 0151-777 2265.
