Wirral Hubdu Festival cancelled over ‘land nightmare’

A WIRRAL music festival has been cancelled.

Organisers of the weekend-long Hubdu music festival, which aimed to attract up to 12,000 people to Wirral Rugby Club, Clatterbridge, in September, said they “were thrown into the middle of a land nightmare” which will prevent the event from going ahead.

They said they were told the land was unsuitable to use for the foreseeable future.

Now, they hope to revive the Hubdu Festival next year at a different location.

The upcoming event had proved controversial with neighbours, who had objected over transport and noise issues.

Organisers said tickets bought online will be refunded automatically in the next 14 days.

Tickets bought in person can be refunded at the shop where bought, or by sending the ticket, a SAE and a letter stating where it was bought, to Hubdu Ltd, Ticket Returns, 57 The Village, Bebington, CH63 7PL.
