A new soft play centre aimed at encouraging healthy lifetsyles opens on the Woodchurch estate

A NEW play centre on the Woodchurch estate aimed at encouraging healthy eating alongside play activities was opened by Wirral West MP Esther McVey.

Rascalz Soft Play Centre in Eltham Green has already provided work for 15 long-term unemployed residents and now hopes to help the children of Woodchurch embrace healthy living.

Owner and director, David Powell said:

“Having lived in Wirral all my life and lived on the Woodchurch for a short while, I am proud to offer something to the local and surrounding communities that will help raise the standard and to help children to become creative and interactive with others.”

Esther McVey said: “This new business is to be welcomed and I am told by the owners, has enabled 15 long-term unemployed to get back to work; whilst at the same time raising the profile of the area and supporting the growth of local businesses, this can only help with the regeneration of this area.

“I wish the owners every success.”
