CADETS of all stripes marched from Wallasey Town Hall to mark the 150th birthday of the oldest voluntary youth organisation in the world.
The Sea Cadets, the Combined Cadet Force, Army Cadet Force and the Air Training Corps came together on Sunday to parade through Wallasey and show the institution remains as healthy as ever.
The Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Alan Jennings, was joined by the Lord Lieutenant and other senior serving officers in receiving the parade.
Cllr Jennings said: “The cadets play an important role in helping young people become responsible adults through learning new skills and developing self-confidence.”
