THE SECOND annual Big Lunch is coming to Warwick Park in Upton this Sunday.
An open-air party with free food – including a hog roast – and drink, the lunch is a national event which last year attracted nearly a million people across the country.
The party is being organised in Upton by the Friends of Warwick Park, and spokeswoman Rachel Collins said: “It’s a bring-your-own, open-air party, by the people, for the people.
“Get together with your neighbours to meet, greet, share, sing, dance, play and laugh – for no other reason than we all need to!
“We still need volunteers to help set up on the day, make bunting, bring cakes, donate home grown salad, cakes, quiches, sandwiches, bread, scones. Anything to share with us!”
The park is on The Woodlands in Upton. For more information, or to help, contact Rachel on 677 5053 or 07950 054953.
