Free recycling bags on offer throughout July in West Kirby

FREE recycling bags are on offer in Wirral this month!

Throughout July, staff at West Kirby Household Waste Recycling Centre will be giving away heavy-duty, green-waste recycling bags.

All you have to do is drop off a load of green and garden waste, in return for a stamped voucher.

If you then drop another load of green waste off, at any time in July, you will get your voucher stamped a second time and qualify for your free bag.

The scheme is organised by Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) and Veolia Environmental Services.

Director of MWDA, Carl Beer said: “We ran a giveaway scheme a few years ago and it was very popular, in fact we shifted around 20,000 bags.”

Bag supplies are limited so will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.
