Police arrest a 20-year-old Birkenhead man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis

POLICE raided a Birkenhead address and arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Officers from Birkenhead Neighbourhood Policing team executed a warrant at the property last Thursday, and discovered a substantial quantity of what is believed to be cannabis, along with various drug-associated paraphenalia.

The substance was sent off for analysis.

Police also seized around £1,000 in cash and the 20-year-old was released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Inspector Chris Lucan-Pratt said: “Illegal drugs will not be tolerated in Birkenhead and we are committed to disrupting and putting a stop to the activities of those who are involved in the drugs trade.”
