Wirral businesses invited to enter annual Wirral Business Awards

WIRRAL businesses are being invited to enter the borough’s annual business awards.

The awards, organised by Wirral Investment Network (WiN), aim to give firms an opportunity to gain recognition for the contribution they make towards the overall growth of Wirral.

Judges are looking for individuals and companies that have developed and made a significant positive impact on the local economy.

Entries are invited from businesses of all types and sizes in eleven categories:

lCorporate Social Responsibility Award (sponsored by Unilever)

l Excellence in Training & Skills Development Award (sponsored by Wirral Met College)

l Innovation & Creativity Award (sponsored by Innov8 Safety Solutions)

l Investment of the Year Award - (sponsored by The Mersey Partnership)

l Wirral Think Big Award - (sponsored by Wirral Council)

Asif Hamid, CEO of The Contact Company and a director of Wirral Investment Network, said: “In the current economic climate it is more important than ever that the public and private sector work together to create a strong, resilient and robust business community in Wirral that can weather the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities when they present themselves.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, July 9 at Birkenhead School, hosted by Roger Phillips of BBC Radio Merseyside.
