ARTROOM Gallery welcomes French abstract artist Carole Graslan for her exhibition Tangible Worlds, until February 28.
Carole works with a broad range of materials and techniques, transferring paint to canvas using instruments such as brushes, spatulas, rags and papers, in both thick and diluted layers, to recreate the Tangible Worlds of the exhibition’s title.
Describing what she hopes to communicate to the viewer, Carole said: “My paintings convey the free expression of my intuitive and emotional side.
“Intuitive paintings open up our imagination where mysterious worlds and life forms can evolve, creating a visual language, posing some sense of mystery and forcing the viewer to construct their own ideas.”
Carole added: “My goal is to create reflective and honest work.
“Painting is a state of being and I believe that in the subjective process of painting, I would find my own definition.”
Now in operation for four years, Artroom will honour its burgeoning portfolio of local and national artists with permanent wall space, alongside temporary exhibitions.
Artroom proprietor, Michelle Linger said: “These artists have now become our regular wall space artists. “Tangible Worlds could also be associated not just with Carole but all our artists, as they all paint original art, done with their own hand, observing and getting inspiration from colours, objects and scenes from the real world that surrounds us.
“This is the case with all our local artists who paint in the Wirral peninsula”.
Tangible Worlds runs at the Artroom Gallery, The Parade, Parkgate until February 28. For more information, visit www.artroom.uk.com or call 08700 852085
