Families can go online for free as part of new scheme

WIRRAL families could receive free computers and internet connections.

The Home Access computer initiative will allow families with children aged between seven and 14 who qualify for free school meals to apply for a computer and internet connection grant.

Phil Davies, Wirral's cabinet member for children’s services and lifelong learning said: “This initiative means families can learn together and reap the rewards together.

“We encourage as many Wirral families as possible to receive this unique opportunity to bridge the digital divide.”
