Santa Paws: The Wirral News’ selection of your best festive pets so far

FATHER Christmas is still checking his sledge over but our Santa Paws competition has already got off to a flying start!

Some of Wirral’s perfect pooches have been digging out their favourite yuletide costumes and getting their owners to snap a shot, before sending the photographs in – and here’s a selection of some that have already landed on our mat.

But don’t dismay if you haven’t sent yours off yet, there’s still time!

Over the weeks leading up to the big day, we’ll feature the best, the brightest and the plain bizarre; with front pages a possibility and even a slot on page three not out of the question.

Don’t forget, our winner will receive a pamper session at Bromborough-based grooming experts, Mutley Makeovers, as well as a £50 voucher for Wirral’s All Natural Pet Food Company, with £30 and £20 vouchers for second and third.

And don’t worry if you don’t own a dog, we want to see all types of pet dressed up for Christmas, whether guinea pigs, budgies, cats, horses or iguanas!
