Last chance to see Goliath

ONE of British wrestling’s heavyweight stars will perform for the last time this Friday in the All Star’s pre-Christmas bill.

Gladiator Goliath, will flex his muscles and battle it out at the Pacific Road Complex, Birkenhead, before heading off to the United States to try and make his mark with the WWE.

The Welshman, Barri Griffiths, hit the high spots when ITV brought back Gladiators.

Since then, the 6ft 2in, near 20 stone powerhouse has been in unstoppable wrestling form.

This Friday from 7.30pm he will have to pull out all the stops to finish on a winning note as his Birkenhead opponent will be 390lbs American Avalanche P.N.Neuz.

The Pacific Road bill also includes an eight-man endurance event with an entry list including top Wirral favourite Xtreme played by Dean Allmark and his bitter rival, British mid-heavyweight title holder Robbie Dynamite.

Also bidding to make an impression will be world heavy-middleweight champ Mikey Whiplash and rising Runcorn star Andy Baker.

Tickets costing £35 for two adults and two children under 16, will be on sale at the door from 6.30pm or can be booked in advance at the Floral Hall, New Brighton.
