Bebington mum enlists TV psychic to solve mystery of son’s death in 2007

A MOTHER who believes her son was murdered has launched a campaign to have the investigation into his death re-opened by enlisting the help of a TV psychic.

Hayley Buckley, of Pool Bank, Bebington, is prepared to exhume her son's body if necessary, as she attempts to find answers about the night 23-year-old Christian Ruffley was killed.

Now Hayley has sent a dossier of fresh information compiled with the help of Sky TV star and psychic Tony Stockwell to the Independent Police Complaints Commission and the Merseyside Police officers who originally investigated Christian’s death, in an attempt to get the force to re-examine the case.

Christian died at 5.45am on the morning of March 25, 2007 after a night out at the Pensby Hotel pub.

An inquest found that Christian was killed after falling asleep in the road on Lever Causeway, Bebington, where his body was run over by a taxi.

At the time police investigated the incident as a road accident, and the coroner recorded a verdict of death as a result of multiple chest injuries caused by the car.

The taxi driver, who stopped at the scene, was not charged with any wrongdoing.

But Hayley has never felt satisfied with the outcome of the police inquiry or the inquest, and now she is determined to persuade officers to reconsider the case, on the strength of Tony’s psychic detection.

Claiming to use psychic powers, Tony has suggested a very different version of events he believes led up to Christian’s death.

Hayley said: “We now believe that he was murdered.

“Tony has told me that they haven’t meant to kill him, and they’ve just gone to give him a kicking.”

Chief Inspector Chris Markey said: “Merseyside Police can confirm that a review of the initial investigation into the death of Christian Ruffley in 2007 is already underway following the receipt of a formal complaint from a family member.”
