Appeal: Men wanted for Wallasey speeddating event

‘Booklovers Speeddating’ will take place at Wallasey Village Library on Valentine’s Day, February 14, between 6.30 and 7.30pm. Attendees will be able to share their favourite books with potential suitors, hoping sparks will fly over a passionate discussion of literature.

So far the balance in numbers is tipped firmly towards females, and organisers are hoping to attract eligible bachelors to take part.

Councillor Chris Meaden, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure said:

“So far we have had a remarkable response from ladies who want to take part, but only a limited number of men. The event is open to all, and I would recommend anyone who wants to get involved to get their tickets soon.”

Tickets for the event cost £3 and are available from Wallasey Village Library, or by calling 0151 638 1024. Ticket price includes light refreshments.
