A 51-YEAR-OLD man was killed after he was struck on a dual carriageway by an ambulance responding to a 999 call.
The pedestrian was hit by the emergency vehicle, which had its blue lights on, on Fender Lane, in Moreton, at 5am on Sunday.
The man, who at the time the Wirral News went to press had not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene.
