New Brighton lifeboat launched in bad weather this weekend

THIS dramatic image shows all too clearly the perilous conditions brave lifeboatmen have to face.
In what has been a shocking week of mid-July weather, New Brighton lifeboat launched this weekend, braving heavy waves and high winds to aid a stranded yacht.
The Atlantic 85 Class ‘Charles Dibin’ was responding on Sunday to a call from a yacht with engine failure.
All involved were returned to safety.
