POLICE want to speak to a woman who racially abused restaurant staff before leaving without paying.
Officers have been working through CCTV images of the incident, which occurred at around 10pm on March 5.
They have found a clear picture of a man who attended the restaurant with the woman, and believe he could help with their enquiries.
The couple arrived together at Chutneys in Liscard Village and ordered drinks and a meal.
They ate their starters but had an argument before the main course arrived. The man walked out and the woman told a member of staff that they were leaving and would only pay for the drinks.
The staff member explained that the meal was almost ready, and they would have to pay and even offered it as a takeaway.
An argument ensued, and the woman shouted racial abuse at the staff member.
Meanwhile, her partner had returned to see what was happening, and the woman left the restaurant without paying.
Because of the racial abuse, police say this incident is being treated as a hate crime.
The woman is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, about 30 years old, with a stocky build and shoulder length black hair.
She was wearing a shiny silver dress and high heels.
The man is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black and green hooded top and blue denim jeans.
