Ex-Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost helps launch a make-up academy

POP star turned TV makeover expert Jenny Frost has joined forces with her childhood friend to launch a business venture.

The ex-Atomic Kitten, who was born in Wallasey, has helped launch a make-up academy with make-up artist Cassie Lomas, who is the sister of ex-Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.

Now a single mum, the singer has moved back to the north west from London to be near her family.

Jenny, whose parents are from Liverpool, knew it was time to reevaluate her life after losing her mum Rita to lung cancer earlier this year.

The TV presenter was about to get married to DJ Dominic Thrupp, but the pain of her mum’s death made her realise the relationship was not right.

Jenny said: “It was a body blow. She was my best friend and the person I turned to for support.

“I told myself to take some help from friends who love me. When I pulled up in the driveway at my friend’s house I was feeling very teary but they were there waiting for me with a bottle of wine and it was as if a weight had been taken off my shoulders.

“I have the most amazing support network around me. So I’m coping well.”

Jenny, who has a three-year-old son Caspar, put an offer in on her dream home in Cheshire and has helped launch the Cassie Lomas’ Make-Up Academy in Manchester.
