Pupils help pick construction firm to build new Park Primary School in Wallasey

“Members of the School Council interviewed the construction companies to check they would work hard on the project and respect the environment.

“One of the reasons Morgan Ashurst was chosen was because of its determination to involve the children, parents and local community in every stage of the construction.”

The new school will have 12 classrooms and accommodate up to 360 pupils.

The old Park Primary was demolished late last year, months after an arson attack which spread to three classrooms in the empty building.

Pupils are currently taught at the nearby Poulton Primary building.

Ryan Jones, project manager at Morgan Ashurst, said: “The fact that children themselves helped to select Morgan Ashurst makes this project extra special.

“We will be using all our expertise and knowledge to create a school they can be really proud of.”
