WALLASEY Village Churches Together appeal for Christmas Day chef

WALLASEY Village Churches Together are appealing for a chef to cook Christmas lunch for a party on Christmas Day.

The churches hold the event every year for about 50 people who would otherwise spend the day on their own.

The festive party will be held at Claremount Road Methodist Church from noon to 6pm.

Party co-ordinator Peter Guyan said: “This year the volunteer chef for the past nine years is unwell and won’t be able to cook the meal.

“Without a chef the party will have to be cancelled. The guests look forward to it and we don’t want to disappoint them.”
