Mum of a bullied school girl from Wallasey School says more needs to be done
A DISTRESSED mother is calling for more to be done about the alleged bullying of her daughter at Wallasey School.
The 14-year-old has missed months of schooling and currently has home tuition because she is petrified of going to school.
She claims to have been bullied by a group of girls two years older than her since November 2007, and says she has evidence of verbal abuse and threats of physical abuse on text, and social networking sites Facebook and Bebo.
She said: “One of the messages left on Facebook a few weeks ago from one of the girls read ‘I’ve got half of the year elevens to jump you and your friend’.”
The victim’s mother has contacted the school, on Birket Avenue, numerous times. She has even involved the police after her daughter came home bruised.
She said: “It seems like nothing is being done to help my daughter. Her life is being made a misery and her education is suffering because she is being intimidated, threatened and physically abused by these girls.
