We’re sick of star bores

WALLASEY’S Britain’s Got Talent loser Michael Machell is a noisy nuisance who won’t stop playing his organ, neighbours claim.

Lynn Mitchell lived in the house next door to last year’s semi-finalist for 22 years, but says she had to move out because she could no longer cope with his incessant racket.

In desperation, her daughter bought the terraced house from her but now her tenants are demanding she install £2,000 of sound-proofing, to save them from the misery of repeated versions of the Star Wars theme tune and new project, The Final Countdown.

Michael Machell remains unmoved, telling the News he is breaking no law unless he exceeds 90db continuously over eight hours, adding: “They’re just jealous because the fact of the matter is, I’m a celebrity and they’re not.”

Lynn’s daughter, Leanne Eaton says her tenants have tried to get along with Mr Machell to no avail.

The 28-year-old said: “They’ve put up with the noise from his organ but they just don’t get any sleep because he plays it all the time.

“The lady had an operation and was a bit ill but he had the organs in his bedroom the next day.”

And Leanne, a lettings agent manager, says the situation has become even worse since his TV appearance last May, as he now “owns three organs”.

Father-of-two Mark Jones, 40, lives opposite, he said: “I’m one of those people who watch the programme and think, they shouldn’t be doing this, because it makes him feel he can play the organ.

“It might be because I’m a Star Wars fan and he killed the song, but that’s all I heard for three months.”

Mark said when he complained to the authorities, even they “burst out laughing”, but he added: “I’ve got to listen to that every night.”

Wirral Council confirmed complaints have been made and they are investigating.

But Michael Machell refuses to install sound-proofing, and states he’s not worried about losing talent show votes.

He said: “I won’t tell you how, but I’ve got a quarter of a million votes already in the bag.”

Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV this Spring.
